Easter is a religious holiday celebrated annually by Christians all over the world to commemorate the story of Jesus Christ and his resurrection after execution.

Traditionally, Easter celebration also features (Easter) egg decorating and the Easter egg hunt. The Easter egg is symbolic of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter eggs are also dyed red to represent the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed on the cross.

As parents/ guardians, here are three basic ways you can celebrate Easter with your kids.

  • Attend Easter services with your kids and share with them biblical verses/hymns about Easter.
  • Make, and enjoy a meal together. Remember, apart from its religious essence, the Easter holiday provides a great opportunity for families to spend time together.
  • Give your kids a reason for the season; enlighten them more about Easter, in a relaxed way.

As you celebrate Easter with your kids, you shouldn’t forget to educate them, beyond the merriment, about the essence of Easter celebration. Let your kids read about Easter celebration.
